What are some good options for digital voice recorders for recording music lessons?

I need a digital voice recorder that records in pretty high quality for music lessons. The parents of the students want a digital copy of their kids singing. What would be some good suggestions for good digital voice recorders with high playback quality?

I'm a college student and I was also curious about the different brands of voice recorders. I really didn't want to waste my money and purchase something that has bad quality. At first I was going to buy one of the Sony ones (just because I've seen so many other students use it; I thought they must be good). I did some research and read reviews from other people who have used certain voice recorders. I eventually landed on one of the Olympus voice recorders. Mine is the Olympus WS-331M. I was actually going to purchase the older model but my brother bought the better one for me (which was GREAT! =]). I really like this voice recorder. You can organize the recordings into different folders, it's small and records really well. Well, I haven't tried others so I can't really compare them. The only thing I don't like is the battery life. I can only record two class sessions (an hour and a half each) with two AAA batteries. By the third class session, it would die out in the middle of the lecture. I'm not sure if this is the issue for all voice recorders. I'll put up a link below so you can check out more information on it.

on your budget there is no longer plenty to make a call from. in case you pick it to be transportable, the only component i ought to point that's to comb interior the path of the thrift shops (Goodwill, Salvation military etc) for a used cassette deck, presented it has microphone inputs. yet once you do no longer could desire to be transportable you have a super selection, genuine on the brink of your budget. when you consider which you of course have a working laptop or workstation, you may get a USB microphone. they are priced beginning close to $60. making use of that and a few loose utility, Audacity, you're able to perform a little very stable recording.
