Go to the directory where it installed onto your computer. If you didn't choose one for it, you should be able to find it under C:\Program Files. From there find the folder that corresponds to the program you're trying to uninstall and delete the whole folder. Then remove the shortcuts from your desktop and be sure to empty your recycle bin. The restart your computer and the program should be gone.

Delete it manually then. Some programs do not have a self delete or refuse to go. First exit the program and then delete all shortcuts for it and remove it from the Program List. If you don't exit it first you wont be able to delete it, because you can't delete a running program.

Right click on the Start button and select Explore All Users. In the left hand panel, Expand the C drive.

Find the program [Note: It might be under the Publisher's Name and not the Program's name] and expand it. Start at the bottom folder and working your way up delete all the folders one by one. The reason for this is if you try to delete the whole program first, the folders may contain files that are used else where will not allow you to delete the program.

When you have deleted everything, come out of Explore, empty the bin and then reboot.

You then need to clean out the old Registry entries and keys by using a Registry Cleaner.

If you haven't got one, use CCleaner from Piriform.

It's a small free program and you get regular free updates with it.

Here how to make sure Spyware Doctor has installed completely form your system.

    1. Ensure that you have fully exited the application. To fully exit from Spyware Doctor please right click on the Spyware Doctor icon in the notification area (next to the clock on the Windows taskbar) and select Shutdown from the menu that appears. Please also close any instances of Internet Explorer or other browsers.

    2. Perform an uninstall of Spyware Doctor from:

Start > Programs > Spyware Doctor > Uninstall Spyware Doctor

    3. **IMPORTANT** Make sure that the Spyware Doctor folder (which by default would be under 'C:\Program Files') no longer exists. If the 'Spyware Doctor' folder still exists, please delete the folder.

    4. Select Start>Run

    5. Type in regedit and click OK

    6. Please locate the following keys and remove them:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PCTools\Spyware Doctor

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PCTools\Spyware Doctor

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\Spyware Doct

This will ensure that Spyware Doctor has completely uninstalled from your system

I had that same problem with another antispyware program. I just kept uninstalling it and then would restart my computer and do it again. It finally uninstalled.
