    You have to be given a volume in order to solve this problem as the equation for molarity is:

    moles/(volume of solution in liters)

    for example if the volume of the solution was 4 liters then:

    0.6M = x/4

    Multiply by 4 to get x by itself and the answer becomes:

    4L(0.6M) = 2.4moles

    Usually, if liters is not stated, it is assumed to be 1, then the moles will equal the molarity and be 0.6.

    erm ..

    0.6M, by definition, is 0.6 moles per 1 Liter - so it depends on how many liters you have.

    .6 moles per one Liter. That is .6 moles in one Liter of solution.
