just wondering about an idea I had for my car in the future?

would it be possible to drop in a new Lexus IS F-Sport motor into an older 93 Lexus gs300 car? i was planning on turning my car into a tuner and I don't know if this is possible. but it would be nice. any comments?

Dropping a 2UR-GSE into a GS300 would not be possible, mainly because of size issues, but it wouldn't be a very smart one either.

I'm assuming the GS300 you own is equipped with the 2JZ-GTE, which is one of the best Toyota engines ever produced in history. It's already twin turbocharged, and has a full encyclopedia of aftermarket parts available.

The 2UR-GSE probably costs more than your GS itself, so it'd be a ginormous waste.

If you plan on turning your car into a tuner, I'd recommend putting in new turbos, it'll probably be one of the most effective upgrades for a 2JZ-GTE, along with new intake/exhaust system and perhaps an upgraded valvetrain.

    Hope that helps

If you are going to be a tuner one thing to remember is you can put a 426cu in hemi on a roller skate if you have the desire and the money and the equipment to get it done.. So i say yes it could be possible to do the swap but maybe not economical or smart but hey that is up to you and what you want not for me to decide ...
