How do I stop my PS3 from skipping?
I have an original 80 GB system and have had few problems with it until now. Recently I had to format the hard drive to fix the freezing on the system. But now there is skipping in everything that I do. On the XMB some things take longer to load, and games keep stuttering and skipping things making them practically unplayable. How can I fix this? It seemed to happen for no reason.

Make sure that the games you are playing don't have scratches or dirt, or scuffs, etc. And also, the PS3 has overheating problems (sometimes) and it will cause games to skip. So my suggestion is that you buy an intercooler, or a cooling stand, or whatever, and cool down your PS3. That should stop it from skipping. If not, call sony customer support.
