    Great software from Ben.

    Also, I would add:

    - Skype (skype.com): free IP telephony + great web conferencing.

    - Cyberduck: super FTP client

    - iStat Pro widget: get a quick view of your entire PC in one view

    - Seashore: MS Paint on steroids.

    - VLC: Video reader

    Good luck!

Adium : http://adium.im/ : An IM client that will work with just about every IM ever made (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Skype, and more)

Quicksilver: http://www.blacktree.com/ : it's primarily an application launcher- just hit the key (I have it set to command) and start typing in the name of the program or document and hit enter to open it. You don't even need to type the whole thing. If you hit = while it's open, it's a calculator. It's basically spotlight+.

Firefox: http://www.firefox.com/ : Safari is faster, but I like Firefox's numerous add-ons more.
