nikon d40, need a marco lens!?
Hi so I do have a Nikon D40 and its Christmas time and I figured its time for a new lens. Iam really interested in finding a new one and so far the Raynox DCR-250 lens and Tamron 90 have caught my eye. But I also have a bugget and that is $250...Which isnt enough for them but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a different lens within that buggest, well any answers are appreciated! Thanks have a great day :)

The Raynox DCR-250 is garbage, and only costs around $50 anyway. If you buy something like that, go to your local camera store & get a Close-Up Filter Set, otherwise look for a used AF (older Tamron 90mm or Nikon 60mm) lens. The only problem with the older lenses is that they won't autofocus (but I rarely use AF in macro) on the D40.

With lenses, you do get what you pay for.
Get a true macro (micro is what Nikon calls it) and you'll be happier.

Amazon has some within your budget (other places such as BHPhotoVideo will also have them).
