system administrator password for dell startup?
my dell laptop won't turn on, it keeps saying it's upgrading and then it freezes. someone told me to run safe mod and log in as admin but i don't know the password. i never entered any passwords on my laptop so I don't know what they are asking from me. it says i should contact system administrator but I don't know what that is

just learn from others how to reset windows password.

Typically the password is blank from factory build dell machines, if it doesnt work you will need a password resetting utility

Either use Ophcrack to recover your password or use NT Offline Password & Registry Editor to blank your password.

download the version you need. burn it to cd put in in the computer. restart. it will give you the passwords FREE
