my ipod is still broken?

by the way i have a pink second generation i pod nano

my ipod screen went whit a few days ago and it now has a black thick line down the left side of the screen.its not goin away and i cant see the screen. i tried resetting it on my computer on itunes and i called coustomer service and i tried resetting it with the hold and center button.nothing will work to make it get back to normaal. i heard this thing that if i put it on the miccrowave it wol work? is that true?should i do it? any other ideas?

please help me.
