I sent a USPS Priority package to the wrong address?
I have asked the person to whom I shipped the package to send it on and print "No longer at this address" and then put the forwarding address on it. Will this suffice to get it to the proper recipient?

Priority Mail can be forwarded as many times as necessary to get it to the addressee. As long as the addressee name is not changed, the address can be changed to forward to the recipient at another address at no additional charge.

No. Your original postage will go toward the cost of doing business that gets it to your stated recipient. You'll want to send the additional postage. Also, forget about about "No longer at this address" as it's patently obvious that it's attempted manipulation. Don't do it,you'll get caught for sure.
The US postal service takes orders from within, not from us. Thus we don't get to rewrite the rules of operation.
Too bad---I'm with you in spirit but you don't want to sacrifice control of your package to save a couple of bucks, right?
