would wizards know...?
In the Harry Potter series, would wizards/witches know things that Muggles use/eat/etc? Like would they know Muggle bands, would they know what an iPod is, would they know what Lucky Charms were, etc
btw, Lucky Charms is the first cereal i thought of and cereal was random so
yeah

It depends. Some wizard families like to blend in with muggles, so I'm guessing they must have a general knowledge of things (especially kids/teens raised in muggle surroundings). Others, who decide to seclude themselves completely from the muggle world, know nothing normal. Take Ron, for instance, in the third book. He hollered into the phone because he didn't know how it worked.
It all depends.

I have read many back round books on Harry Potter and wizards lack many muggle experiences. I don't think they would. Like how Mr. Weasley (sp?) ask Harry how a rubber duck works. It shows they don't come in contact with everyday things (for muggles, that is) They might know a few things, but not many.

If I remember correctly, in Harry Potter in the chamber of secrets, in the beginning when Rons dad meets Harry, you may know that Ron's dad works for the ministry of magic in the muggle affairs.
He asks harry at the breakfast table what is the basic function of a rubber duck.
So my guess would be that wizards/witches aren't very educated on muggle things unless they are "muggle" wizards themselves, or mudbloods or whatever you want to call them.
Thats my basic assumption!

Generally speaking NO, unless they were raised in the muggle world. Take Arthur Weasley for example, he asked how to use a rubber duck. Also they do not have electricity.
