    x2-3x-7x+2=0

    x2-10x+2=0

    now by quadratic formula we have x= -b+-(b^2-4ac)^1/2

    ---------------------------

    2a

    thus we have x= (10+-(100-4)^1/2)/2

    5+-2(3)^1/2

    i hopoe this helps thanx and may god bless u!

    x ² - 10 x + 2 = 0

    x = [ - b ± √ ( b ² - 4 a c ) ] / 2 a

    x = [ 10 ± √ ( 100 - 8 ) ] / 2

    x = [ 10 ± √ ( 92 ) ] / 2

    x = [ 10 ± 2√13 ] / 2

    x = 5 ± √13

    x^2 – 3x = 7x – 2

    x^2 - 3x - 7x + 2 = 0

    x^2 - 10x + 2 = 0

    x = {10 +/- sqrt[10^2 - 4(2)]} / 2

    x = {10 +/- sqrt[100 - 8]} / 2

    x = {10 +/- sqrt[92]} / 2

    x = {10 +/- 9.592} / 2

    x = 9.796 and 0.204
