Those who were in Rome?
Would you suggest me a nice hotel - the criteria would be price and location.
Somewhere in a center, with all the places to see not far away - like a walking distance.
I've heard of Hotel Caravaggio? maybe smb was there and could help
thanks a lot in advance
i understand that there are tons of hotels, i've searched them online, but the photos could me so not what it's in real life.
That why i asked - maybe there is something that people could recommened, cause they saw, were there and so on.
we think of not more then 60 euros per night
oh! and as i've never been there before - any specific areas you might wanna recommened as well.

What's your price limit and exactly would you be staying? Prices on individual hotels can vary a lot depending on exactly what's going on when you're here. I use the Venere.com site for hotels here in Italy. http://www.venere.com/italy/rome/ In Rome, I like the Accademia right around the corner from Trevi Fountain or the Hotel Cesàri between Trevi fountain and the Pantheon. The Hotel Romano might suit you - http://www.venere.com/hotels/rome/hotel-romano/ . It's often less expensive than many other places and is right across from the Forum in the area of the Colosseum.
Any of these are in walking distance. There are many other choices. You can select specific areas of the city on the map and sort by price to help you find something that suits you.

I'm Italian and I live in Rome.
I've never spent a night in an hotel in Rome...but I know for sure that 60€/night is impossible. Especially if you wanna go in the centre of Rome.
Anyway i can suggest you an hotel near Piazza del Popolo or near "Via cola di rienzo" like this one http://www.alpitourworldhotels.it/sito_cicerone/it...
Rome is huge but the most important places to see are in this zone and you can see them by feet and using the metropolitan.
Hope you have fun

yasseawind1, you may want to take a look at Nord Nuova, a fabulous hotel located in the center of Rome near the Opera House. Enjoy your trip!

You'd better look for something in the centre, sure. But don't imagine you have "all the places to see" in a walking distance. Rome is huge and full of places to see.
