Who should the sparring partners for Mayweather and Pacquiao be.?

Castillo, Marquez, Barrera, judah or even Mosley maybe Morales any of these fighters would be good sparing partners. You want a fighter who applies constant pressure and who will mimic the head movement of manny. Castillo applies a pressure much stronger than pacman will ever apply to mayweather. Castillo has the body to bully mayweather as pacman is not big enough to bully mayweather like castillo. With mayweather able to handle the pressure it will force pacman into a technical fight. Pacmans best option is probably judah, Guzman, Steve forbes. Mosley and Berto would be nice but they have fights so that's out the question and Mosley being golden boy wouldn't spar unless he was guaranteed a fight with pacman next. Amir khan is pacmans primary sparring partner who can mimic the Philly shell but can he match mayweathers speed and technical skills. Khan is a little to slow to be Manny's only sparring partner in a fight like this. Manny doesn't need to spar with a big huge puncher he needs a guy that's technical and defensive.

Possible sparring partners of Floyd Mayweather:

    1. Ivan Calderon = this guy is an extremely fast and small fighter who has lightning reflexes and excellent foot movement. Also has speed coming from both hands. Should mayweather be able to adapt to Calderon, Pacquiao's speed wouldn't matter anymore.

    2. Edwin Valero = has similar characteristics with Manny Pacquiao. He is also a southpaw, always puts pressure in his opponents, not to mention that he is an extremely powerful puncher. De la Hoya made a mistake in removing him from his camp. He had problems sparring with this guy. Exactly what happened during his fight with Pacquiao.

Possible sparring partners of Manny Pacquiao:

    1. Juan Manuel Marquez = with this boxer he can hone his skills on how to deal with counterpunchers. Mayweather, too is an excellent counterpuncher, and he will dictate the tempo since he is always on the defensive, waiting for his prey to attack.

    2. Amir Khan = can partially mimic the speed of Floyd as he is also a fast boxer

    3. Bernard Hopkins = best defensive boxer in his division. Like Floyd, he rarely gets hit on the head

Should they are able to spar with these boxers, March 13 will be an exciting and unpredictable fight.

For Pacquiao, the best bet would either be Malignaggi or Joan Guzman. Malinaggi maybe not as fast as Mayweather but is an A+ boxing technician. Guzman is trained by Mayweather Sr. He adapts almost the same style as Mayweather's.

On the other hand, Mayweather Judah is probably the closest bet bu he may try to lure Cotto not just a sparring partner but to give him pointers about Pacquiao's capability as a boxer/slugger in actuality.

Pacquiao should definetly spar with joan guzman, he has the same shell defense that floyd uses, has very quick reflexes like money, and is probably the fighter who is most similar to floyd in terms of style. in fact joan's trainer was roger mayweather for a long time so he may be able to provide some insight as to how roger prepares his fighters for a fight. amir kahn obviously will be there to help as well, and i like steve forbes as well he, like guzman, similar to floyd with his speed and defense. berto i think would be good too if they can find a way to get him

Mayweather would need someone southpaw with speed and aggression, maybe an edwin valero who many consider the next pacman. judah and floyd seem to be on good terms so he might definetly be a possiblity as well. its hard to think of many others because most quick southpaws are known to be slick and defensive, not aggresive and relentless like manny is

Berto, & Khan are both young and fast and probably would be the best of the best.
