While this leads me to choose A, I have reservations about that answer because the GATT has not been in force since 1994, when the WTO became the new body. For this reason, I feel the D is the best answer. This text from the WTO site backs me up: "Allowing for the optimal use of the world’s resources in accordance with the objective of sustainable development and seeking to protect and preserve the environment are fundamental to the WTO. These goals, enshrined in the Preamble of the Marrakesh Agreement, go hand in hand with the WTO’s objective to reduce trade barriers and eliminate discriminatory treatment in international trade relations. While I don't want to expressly say you're wrong, I feel the other answers are better because text on the WTO's site back up their statements. Also, and most importantly, the GATT is no longer in existence, though it formed the basis of the WTO.
