What are some good soft plastics and lures for fall-winter bass fishing?

I fish from the shore and have caught nothing. I usually use grubs.

Winter Fishing usually means fish deep, at least when were talking about lakes. The top 3 lures for catching bass in winter are:

    1. football jigs (in deep rocky lakes, arky jig in shallow weedy lakes) Beserkbaits jigs are good.

    2. Spoons....Hopkins fished using electronic to find bait schools

    3. drop shot...using roboworms or berserkbaits soft plastics in a 3/16 wt and a no. 4 gamigatsu octputs or split shot hook.

I'll either use a Jig or occasionally a Plastic Worm. I like Jigs in just about any size, but I'd prefer a 1/2oze'r with a 3 or 4" craw trailer. I like the color "PB & J" but the old faithful blacks and blues and other brownish colors work well too. With Plastic Worms, I like to use a 7.5" dark worm, and move down on size from there. I'll go down to a 6", then 5", then 4".

    Grubs? Well there's your problem.

Use jigs. Either crawl them, move them slow, or little short bounces, "jumps". Give them a mouthful and move it slow.

Black, black/blue, dark brown, crayfish colors, blues and reds; crawdads are going to be turning into these tints, almost purple now that Winter's here.

Use about a half-ounce football-head jig with rattles, big fluffy skirts and a hulkin' crawfish or creature bait with lots of appendages as a trailer.

Yep a Jig is hard to beat in fall-winter time I also like to use a Texas rigged plastic craw this time of year. The plastic craw is one of my favorite baits to use this time of year I like to rig it on a drop shot if the body of water still has a lot of vegetation that has not died off from the cooler water temps.
