By the rise of leftist politics, which was accomplished by pandering to the lazy and by transforming the public schools into ignorant "useful idiot" factories.

    Good morning, Doris.

Going to another "global strategy meeting" at the local pub this evening?

I'm still learning Russian. Doesn't "Bolshevik" mean the generally accepted consensus? Like the flat earth theory, or that the Earth is the center of the universe, or that heavier things fall faster (look I'll prove it with science, here's a feather and a hammer, see which one falls faster...)? Or the AGW theory?

Inertia. Empires have never lasted more than about 200 years, some a lot less. With each expansion, resources are stretched further and further until they can no longer support the whole. See Roman Empire and the Soviet Union. We didn't defeat communism, we bankrupted it. Now the terrorists are quite deliberately doing the same thing to us. It was in emails captured last year.

–noun 1. the policy of extending the rule or authority of an empire or nation over foreign countries, or of acquiring and holding colonies and dependencies.

there are 2 countries this might remotely apply to and due to our non imperial goals we aren't doing either.

Trotsky had predicted that America rising to world hegemony accumulates all the world contradictions as dynamite in its foundations. This dynamite, accumulated during a century of expansions and crises, of wars and revolutions, is now exploding changing the shape of the world in the 21st century.

The strongest capitalist superpower on the planet, capitalist America as a whole, not solely the evaporated US "sub-prime mortgage market", is transformed into the most "toxic asset" of the global system.

Nothing will be the same anymore.

I don't see a decline. We're scaling up the war in Afghanistan and we've got drones bombing Pakistan. That looks like an increase to me.

  • Empathy, education and evolved morality will inevitably cause a decline in imperialism. Its taking longer in the US but will happen.

US Imperialism? Read a history book. If the US was an Imperialist Nation we would own Europe, Japan, etc. They would be Colonies of the US and not free countries to make their own choices. Look up Imperialism in the dictionary and just go to school a little longer to learn the facts and history of our world. The US is clearly not an Imperialist Nation.

    quite simply:

it's another fantasy that you use to feel better about yourself rather than leave the coffee-house, turn in the Che T-shirt for some work attire and accomplish something in the real world...
