    I think so, yes.

If you pay by paypal, I think they guarantee your money.

First off, buying from ebay is safe in most cases and also not safe if you are a beginner. You must look at the seller's rating and feedback left from other customers. If the seller has good feedback and positive ratings, then most likely they are legit sellers. Just know that the seller has been around for a while with good rep. Also, to guarantee you are purchasing the proper product you desire, you must use logic. If you see something that is selling for an unrealistic price, for example, and ipod nano selling for 20 to 50 bucks, then obviously you know the sale is not legit. Ebay is a well known auction site and you shouldn't be discouraged from buying there. When shopping on ebay, you just have to use common sense, and know who are you buying from. If anything goes wrong, you can contact ebay with the fraud purchase and the name of the seller. I have not experienced a scam yet when purchasing on ebay, but for more information you can read the help page of ebay.
