A ten point answer for street wise gamblers.?

You guys have cost me a lot of money.

The name of the game is CRAPS. If you are playing craps in the streets or in the military, you usually do not put up odds. The money is put up butt to butt (without odds). The BAR points are 4, 5, 9, and 10.

Example: The shooter throws a 10 on the dice, and he wants to bet $20. The person who calls his $20 bet will call out "ON THE BAR". The shooter will acknowledge. Therefore, the two $20 bills will be butt to butt.

If the shooter craps out with 5-2 or 3-4, the person who called the shooter wins the $40. If the shooter craps out with 6-1, the shooter and the person who covered the bet will call out "SAVE THE BAR". Each one takes back his $20. Just like it was no bet to began with.

This is street craps from New York to Los Angeles, from Detroit to New Orleans, and all parts in between. Boy, oh boy Cincinnati Kid, "What happen to all the street hustlers"?

on the come out roll, the shooter throws a 2 (or a 12 (or a 3)) and the 2 (or the 12 (or the 3 in a really dirty casino) is barred. pass lines bets lose, but don't pass lines only push.

the shooter's call would be something like "12, craps 12. front line loser, bar the don'ts."

and for your information, i DID work in a casino where the 3 was barred!
