    Measure the mass of that bag and the mass of a bag with vinegar. Add the masses and you'll get the mass of the reactants.

    Then add the vinegar to your solution and seal the bag. It'll produce gas. Measure the mass of the product. If the mass is smaller it is because some carbon became CO2 which is a gas but the mass is still there.
