Do this on-line scan first : http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
only if you might be worried that you could be infected now.
then go and get avast for full time protection,
you can not get a better anti virus system for free.
it has many features you will have to pay for in other systems.
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
don't forget to register or you will only have it for 60 days
by registering you will get a licence for a full year.
just re-register at the end of the year to get another one year licence.
if you do not like the look of Avast
then microsoft supply a system for free..
Microsoft Security Essentials : http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/
if you feel you would be even safer with a software firewall
then try this one it's also free and it has no conflicts with avast.

or this one

LOL you can download the antivirus software for free online xD
No need to buy the CD. What you buy on Best Buy is really the activation key that is required for the software to work. The CD is just a copy of the software.

What antivirus? There is not much of a point in copying it, most of the time you can download the program from the companies site then just put in your activation code and it will work fine.

you can copy it, but most antivirus software have a code you need to enter in order to activate it and comes with anywhere from 1-3 licenses (depending on how much you spend). You could always try a free antivirus like MS security essentials, which is pretty decent.

yes but i think it is a free trial at first and then you have to pay just like any other virus protection. if you are looking for 100% free virus protection then go with Avast!, Avira, or AVG.
