Anyone else with these side effects with Mirena?!?

I have had this IUD place in about a month ago, Since then ive been on my period (the entire time) now im experiencing very unusual side effects.

1 my on going period for a month

2 hair loss (more than usual) i thought it was because i just had a baby 4 months ago?

3 Nausea, alot like when i was pregnant...however before i got this iud inserted they did an ultrasound to check on a ruptured cyst and there was no baby

4 severe bloating.....i look 5 or 6 months pregnant all over again and i just had lost all the weight before getting this in

5 pieces of flesh coming out with my period

6 very heavy thick cervical mucus just like when your mucus plug falls out YUCK!

and 7 im very tired and irritable

If anyone has any advice (other than go to my dr because i have an appt monday) or if you had these same side effects i just want to know if it worth the 5 year birth control and this will all subside soon or monday if i should just get it removed.

I just got back from having my Mirena removed, after only having it for 4 weeks. I also had spotting/bleeding consecutively since insertion, and had unbelievable nausea (to the point of vomiting a few times over the past few days).

Just an FYI- my doctor disagreed that any of this was caused by the Mirena. He actually had the audacity to suggest that it was all psychological. Who would want to feel naseous, really doc?!?! I just had to stand strong, and point out to him that though rare, I must be that case because this is real. If I can't have sex because I am tired, naseous, and constantly bleeding, than what good is the birth control?!?

I had the same problems only with a paraguard and not a mirena. Its far more common for this to happen on them than most would think. I wish I had known about it before I had gotten mine. I even got pregnant on it (also common!) but it ended up in late miscarriage. Remove it if you can and seek alternative birth control methods. There are support groups for women who have suffered complications from iuds. All have recovered after removing them from what I've read. Good luck.

i know the this is very common with almost all forms of BC.

i even got some of the same symptoms on lower hormone pills.

they can subside, but if they don't it might be best to seek another method because you don't want to be stuck with negative side effects forever.
