Not with just the last 4 digits of your SSN. The best way to avoid scams is to be careful about what you sign your name to and who you give your full SSN to. Keep track of all your pay stubs and banking information. Also shred any paperwork that has information on them that could give people a way to find out the rest of your information. If your that worried, do what I do. Shred the paper and then burn it yourself.
