take 1.0000 ml with a volumetric pipet of 8000ppm ,

and dilut it to 200 ml in avolumetric flask ...

    making a 40 ppm

take 1 .000 ml of that 40ppm & dilute it into

    a 250 volumetric flask... giving a 0.16 ppm

    or into a 100 ml flask ... giving a 0.4 ppm

    or into a 50 ml flask .... giving a 0.8 ppm

or into a 25 ml flask giving a 1.6 ppm
