    6x^2 + 12x = 0

    take 6x common

    6x ( x+2) =0

    x(x+2) =0

    x=0 or x = -2

    CHECK :---------

    6x^2 + 12x = 0

    X=0 => 0+0 =0

    X= -2 6(-2)^2 + 12*(-2) => 6*4 -24 => 24-24 =0

    6x^2 + 12x = 0

    6(-2)^2 + 12(-2) = 0

    6(0)^2 + 12(0)= 0

    You just needed to find a number X times 6 that equals 12 and go from there, it just has to equal 0

    a) Check to see if there is any common factors.

    b) Factor

    c) Set each factor = 0, then solve.

    a) 6x

    b) 6x(x + 2) = 0

    c)

    6x = 0

    x = 0

    x + 2 = 0

    x = -2

    First, factor out 6x from the equation.

    (6x)(x + 2) = 0

    6x = 0 or x = 0

    x + 2 = 0 or x = -2

    your answer is 0, -2
