Why can't I get just one Kiss?

A month ago I was coming into work and passed a short blonde girl with glasses I had never seen before. As we passed each other by she looked at me and smiled and the next time this happened she smiled and then stopped as if to say, "Well aren't you going to say something?" I stopped too and said, "Hi". She greeted me back and we parted ways. About a week later I found her in the break room and discovered she is a social work intern from Sweden. We talked and I told her about a band I like from Sweden about my plans to visit some friends over the weekend. When we couldn't think of anything to say we would just smile and look around.

I left back home to visit some friends for the weekend and when I returned I found that she had left me an email asking about my trip. She wanted to try the huckleberry vodka I told her I brought back. We started leaving the break room and going out for lunch. I asked her to come with me to see "Where the Wild Things Are". After the date we had a couple beers per her suggestion (I suggested desert) and she told me she would be going back home in a month. Before she turned to her bus stop she reached out to give me a long hug. She hugged one more time and a feeling of sadness washed over me as I watched her walk away (She had pointed out that our bus stops were in different directions). After this she invited me to go shopping with her at the Sunday market. I was a bit late meeting her and she seemed upset about that at first but then said she was over it. She had already made her purchases while she was waiting for me and accompanied me as I made mine.

Recently she asked me to go to a local art gallery with her. I suggested we go on Thursday because there was a documentary screening there on that day. When I messaged her to find out what time we were going to meet up she messaged me back that her head and stomach hurt and she needed to postpone. When I saw her downstairs this morning her countenance was without smile for the first time since she discovered her grandfather passed away and she told me the last time she felt this way she was sick for a month. She will be leaving after New Years day, and I'm worried she will leave without a kiss. But maybe she's not looking for a kiss maybe all she wants is an American pen pal (one of my co-workers seems to think this is the case); I however, am not looking for a pen pal. Her smile brought me hope in a time of despair and I would like to see it again. Can somebody help?
