Am I contagious after being on medication for 48+ hours when I still have a fever?
I have a relapse of Strep Throat and have been on medication for over 48 hours (supposedly you are not contagious after 24 hours on it), but I was running a fever when I woke up this morning and I was really looking forward to going to a concert tonight. I feel fine except slight throat pain. The pain is ten times less than before I was on the medication, but I heard if you are running a fever you are still contagious, is that true?

Fever means something is "cooking" inside your body! Or the antibiotic is not effective due to a misdiagnosis of your medical condition. Or you might have 2 different types of infections in the same time.

I think you might still be contagious. Even if you feel better you might make yourself worse if you go out and stress your body when it isn't ready. You could relapse and be sick all over again and it could take even longer to recover.
