Why do people shop at Whole Foods Market when it cost way more than any place else?
I was walking around in Whole Foods Market today because I had some time to kill, I don't shop there or anything like that. I couldn't believe the prices. What type of self-absorbed pretentious ******* pay $4 for a shot glass of pond scum? or $6 for one mango? I mean for real??? Seems like to me the only people that would shop here are just shopping here because I guess they think it some how makes them better than everyone else, not really sure? Anyone know what makes people so stupid as to pay this kind of money for a products that are really no better than what you can get at a normal grocery store.
Also, would you date someone who shopped at Whole Foods and used $8 a jar organic dijon mustard? or would you find that type of person to be too high maintenance and self-absorbed? Lets not forget about the idiots who buy VOSS bottled water which is just tap water from another country. I guess they think they look cool holding the VOSS bottle.
Cool, now I don't feel so bad for shopping there. I do like the organic dijon mustard, it is my preferred mmustard when I can not get the Grey Poupon dijon mustard.

There are certain things there that are worth it IF you consider your health the most important thing your money can buy. For example, organic cereals and meats are always good to eat- they are healthier, safer, etc. Like grass-fed cattle, for example. Personally I eat fish and foul anyway and stray away from red meat (im a wrestler), but now and then steak or lamb is good for me ya dig?
Honestly, I get what you're saying. A lot of the people there are either stuck up old rich people, or self-righteous trail-running al gore-believing green party geo-activist clowns. I hate that facet of them. I'm a conservative, Al Gore is a fking joke and was proven wrong, and yes I like Bill O'Reilly and I love America and I like lower taxes.
However, I DO believe that alot of republicans like me (unfortunately) fit into the stereotype of "fat, old GOP people". Like my dad, for example. And Glenn Beck. There are a lot of them.
I don't think that eating organic foods SHOULD be tied to liberalism. Liberalism is, for the most part, ignorance and evil. Organic food, although higher priced and sometimes a waste of money, is by and large a lot healthier for you.
I agree with you on the water though- all bottled water is tap water, with rare exception. I learned this in a few classes at my school. So I definitely think that wasting money buying tap water is stupid. I either just use a water purifier, or I deal with it.
In the end, exercise is the best purifier anyway. Exercise sweats out chemicals, releases toxins from the body, and cleanses the mind, body, and soul. It burns fat and builds muscle (over the course of 2 days, obviously. lol). It releases stress and helps you live longer.
But yeah. Hope i helped in some way.
And PS: People who are so worried about their health that they buy organic food should NOT be buying organic dijon mustard, or other condiments. That just shows you are a pompous a*ss. I for one do not use any condiments, ever. When I go to subway to get a sub, i get a 12 inch turkey sub on honey oat bread, get EVERY vegetable, the normal amount of cheese, and that's it. I don't get any condiments. Condiments are absolutely horrible for you, and yes even organic condiments have chemicals in them all the same

Well I shop there for certain things...and I certainly don't do it to make me feel that I am better...I am equal to anyone who eats anywhere else....the thing is I just choose to eat organic foods (certain ones) and I feel like if you can afford to buy from there and want to, than why not? It's no different than buying an expensive car or clothes, except that the food is going in your body...so actually food is one of your more important purchases!
Date the girl and don't be silly! She likes healthy food and there's nothing wrong with that :)

Well my mother has Celiac Disease which means she can't eat anything with Gluten, and if you go to the regular grocery store I would like you to see how much Gluten free items you can find there, good luck. That is one reason, that all the food there is whole and natural which means she can eat it all pretty much.

I know what you mean, lol. Walked in there starving and ended up paying $6 for a single corn muffin. People shop there for the same reasons people buy MACs, ~*~labbbeelllls!~*~

It makes sense for someone that is a vegetarian or vegan to shop there because there are vegan dairy & meat products there that they don't have at Wal-Mart. Other than that, I think it's kind of pointless.
