Although I 100% agree with John Locke...

I do see a slight connection

These are the lyrics to "Bad Romance"

"I want your ugly I want you disease

I want your everything as long as its free

I want your love love love"

Perhaps you can write about how Dimmesdale wants to share Hester's guilt.

"I want your love and I want your revenge"

Chillingworth wants Hester's love (even tho the love is gone, in his own way he still loved her) Perhaps the revenge can mean, He wants to get Dimmesdale back for abandoning Hester.

    "Bad Romance"

    Hester and Dimmesdale

-Shes a married women. They committed adultery.

    Chillingworth and Hester

-She hates him, there's no love in their relationship

    good luck

It doesn't. You'd be grasping at straws to try to draw a connection.

The Scarlet Letter is about the burden of adultery (in Hester's case, sex outside of marriage) both literally and symbolically.

Bad Romance is just a pop song. Sure, they both involve sex, but guess what, EVERYTHING involves sex, so you could connect the Scarlet Letter to almost any pop song.

No...please, just don't try to connect Lady Ga Ga with one of the greatest pieces of American literature.

Basically the title of the song tells it all. Both are full of bad romance, unhealthy relationships.

Wow. I say you grab random lines from the song, and compare it to random lines of the book.

Just write up some bs. ;D
