Wow, wasn't Dexter good for the season finale?

SHE CANT BE DEAD... I just cant accept it... anyone know if Rita signed on for next season?

Me, too! My heart just dropped when I saw Rita in the bathtub. I KNEW that ending was too good to be true, before that scene. I doubt she's alive. It leaves alot of open questions for next season. Will Dexter have all 3 kids or just Harrison? Will this open up a chance for Dexter & Debra to have a relationship now that Debra knows the truth? I know that sounds weird - but you never know - it is tv. And, they are married in real-life. Will the "Kyle Butler" alias come back to haunt him? Dexter was getting kind of sloppy there at the end. Or, will they fast forward like they do in soap opera time & it'll be a few years later? Either way, I LOVE this show & think the writing is fabulous. But, I was heartbroken to see Rita dead. What a shocker!! But, it was a great season & John Lithgow was amazing!

I just saw the finale last night and was shocked and saddened. I have NEVER had a TV show do this to me. They are the most amazing writers on the planet. I hope Season 5 isn't the last season. The actors are so great too! John Lithow made this whole season even that much better. I never realized how freaking GREAT HE IS!!!! damn!!!!!!!!!

The entire season had me on edge, I am a bit upset about how the show ended though.
