What should I put in a get well gift.?

My friend tore his ACL, MCL, and I think his Patella Plate on Friday night playing basketball. Now he is out for the whole season after only 4 games. He has always been supportive of me and I want to get him something to help make him feel better.

He obviously is going to be layed-up for a while so I was wondering if I should get him a movie to watch or something like that. Or maybe a soda because he can now have soda since he isn't going to be playing anymore.

Band-Aids, assorted sized of ace bandages, big big bottles of aspirin, knee pads, a cell phone battery recharger cord (he's no doubt going to be texting a lot from his bed), and a book called "A Dummy's Guide to Basketball"

Take your favorite recipe, hand-write it onto a beautiful sheet of stationery and then get all the ingredients used in the recipe and put it all into an inexpensive bowl or casserole dish. Wrap the whole thing in a big sheet of plastic (you can get a piece at the florist) and tie it up with a ribbon. This is personal and shows that you put thought and effort into the gift. They will definitely appreciate it and will always think of you when they make that dish!
