ASVAB Score for the Air Force?

I just took the ASVAB less than 24 hours ago and I got these results for the Air Force:

AFQT Percentile Score: 90

M: 90

A: 90

G: 91

E: 86

So basically, I was wondering how well I scored on the test. Thanks in advance for any helpful answers. :)

That's INCREDIBLE!!! even though they really dont need anyone they'll break your arm to join (metaphor). I got a 63 on my AFQT. It's percentile meaning that you score above 90% of people who have taken the ASVAB nationally. and I score 63% above those people

In truth the requirement is a 50 on the AFQT to be eligible to join the Air Force. But then they look at your "line scores", the M(Mechanical), A(Administrative), G(General) and E(Electronics) to determine the job you're eligible to have. Which from what I'm seeing on your line scores you're pretty much eligible for ALL the jobs that they have to offer. They'll probably want to place you with nukes.

Of course some jobs apart from those aptitude scores require other things, such as being physically able to do them they test you by making you lift up to the highest weight yo'll be made to carry in that job. Or you may need TOP SECURITY CLEARANCE which is a pain in the rear.

    But other than that FANTASTIC

    Congrats- great scores!

My AFQT score was 98, and I think my MAGE was 98, 99, 97, 98.

I booked the 9S00 Technical Applications Specialist position, and I'm leaving January 19.

Since you have high scores, take a look at the more technical jobs. When you meet with your counselor, they will give you a list that shows what jobs you qualify for (Which will be pretty much everything!) Once you are in, take as many college classes as you can to work for a technical degree, which will give you great skills in your field and can help get you promoted (And a sweet civilian job when your contract is up!).

So again, congrats- and don't settle on "Pot Cleaning Engineer! ;-)

Percentile score is where you stand compared to everyone who takes the test. You did better than 90% of people who take the test, I'd call that pretty good. Almost every job is open to you with these scores, just remember that your ASVAB score means nothing after you've picked out your AFSC.

That score is well above average, congratulations! Anything you want is at your finger-tips, pending their availability and how well you do at MEPs; if you haven't gone there yet.

The only thing the ASVAB will accomplish after you've chosen the AFSC is the option to change your job later; however, you will have to retake the ASVAB at that time to be considered. Which most likely will not happen.

    Aif Force = Picky.

You did super well. Good job! I scored an 85 and am qualified for almost everything. If you want to see a chart you can easily look one up online.

Excellent score! My recruiter says anything above 85+ opens up any job.
