do you hate it when you break your favorite coffee mug?

In hope it was not one of my jokes you were reading at the time ....sorry...he he he

I am not sure what cook is doing with the coffee these days. I bought a Cuisinart whole bean grind and brew (drip) coffee maker. She keeps throwing out the metal basket. For the last few mornings I think that she is using an old sock and pouring hot water over the top. Lots of grounds. I try not to ever question cook on what she is doing.

It never happened to me but I understand you totally..it´s not only the mug but the idea behind it..so I would be very sad too..my favorite mug is the one a very good friend gave to me with a little sparrow on it (she always calls me sparrow-I think it sounds nicer in German where you say Spatz (shbudts) )..but I read you found a "new"one in ebay so I´m happy for you..(-:

I did. My hubby got me one on behalf of our 9 month old twin boys, and my 7 year old stepson for my birthday that said "Best mummy in the world" and i dropped it whilst putting it in the dishwasher. I was inconsolable. It was a huge pink mug with a pic of me, hubby, me, my stepson, and the twins. To say i was upset when i dropped it is an underestimation.. My 7 year old walked in and said, he and daddy could get another one, so not to cry, but boy it felt like my heart was breaking. They did replace and got me two others, so it made up for it. However, being comforted by a 7 year old whilst you're sitting on the floor clutching the broken pieces and crying inconsolably is pretty bad.. I'll blame it on pregnancy hormones..

Yes.. but me have no doey this in many moons... Me favorite mug is with picture of me and me cubs... taken many moons ago, and me very careful with it because it me bestest mug in wide-world.

Afterwards I hated myself for breaking it but while I was throwing it out the door I was quite satisfied with what I was doing.

Yes.! I broke my dad's favorite cup and I saved it as a memto. I was heartbroken.
