My Yahoo! Messenger avatar isn't displaying correctly: how to troubleshoot?
My avatar used to display correctly on the Yahoo! Messenger widget. Recently (through no action of my own, of which I'm aware) all I get is the anonymous gray face, instead.
I tried reloading the image in Yahoo! Messenger. I also tried, reloading the (same) image to my Yahoo! profile. Just for the heck of it: I also tried rebooting the computer, so everyone would get a fresh start. (What the heck, nothing else to do on Tuesday night...) No luck.
Hints?
While I'm not grayed out here in Yahoo! Answers, I *am* grayed out on my Yahoo! Messenger, and *indeed* I tried all the settings on Yahoo! messenger...to no avail!

Well, you're no longer grayed out, I suppose that means your issue is resolved. If not, one way, would be to open the IM window and look to the Toolbar above the top window, click View, scroll down to, My Display Image Options and click there and scroll to, Change My Display Image.
A window will open showing you the options you have, simply fill in the circle next to the image you want to show, click Okay and you're all set.
The other way, (which may even be easier) is to look for the small arrow directly under your display image on the bottom of the window and click there. You're going to see the exact same options as I mentioned above, make your choices, click Okay, and once again, you're all set!
