Yes, but it is the role of the parents to teach this- or, shall I say, it should be. As both a parent and a teacher I'd never expect the role of a teacher to include manners and consideration- my daughter is 3 and half, already always says please and thank you and I'm teaching her all the things you mention in your question. I think we live in a sad world where some parents fail to teach their children even these basic things, and seem to think education begins and ends inside the classroom. Education and learning is a whole-life experience that starts at birth and it is not (well, should not) be the role of the school, especially a secondary school, to teach manners to children- a skill which should have been acquired some 7-13 years earlier!

I agree with you, and I am 16 years old. Too many people ages 11-16 and even a little older think the only way to live is to be the "popular" one and do things that they don't want to just to "fit in".

I wish I was offered classes / workshops for these types of topics, I would certainly go and I would hope others would to so everyone can understand respect and learn to love ourselfs and believe in ourselfs.

I totally agree, the thing is, we used to learn stuff like this in Sunday school and from our parents. now church is not an important part of a lot of lifes. and parents are too busy working and just go what ever feels right for you etc
