Have you ever heard of this kind of business.. would it be a good business?

** pre-emptive apolgoy for run-on sentences/type-o's/babbling/etc **

has anyone ever heard of or seen either a store, or an online company that offers the service of making scrapbooks for customers. I know scrapbooking was quite the buzz word a few years back and I saw a few scrapbooking stores around town. .but not ones that offered this type of service. I had 100's of pictures that my mom had taken of the family over the years that I had come into possesion of .. I wanted to surpirse her with one of those fancy scrapbooks but simply didn't have the time to make it as great as I wanted to and I couldn't find a place that offered this service. I guess my question is, (1) does anyone know of anyone that does this service , and (2) do you think it would make a good business?? People would have to bring in/send in their photos and I would make them these great scrapbooks for a charge.

I don't know. .just been thinking about it and people have a lot stupider business plans than that! lol.. just tell me what ya'll think!

Thanks =)

    If you are looking to get into this business, I think it would be something you could do from home as many local scrapbook stores are going out of business with the cheaper big box stores picking up the craft.

    If you are trying to find someone to do that for you, I currently have a business that does that on a limited basis. I would charge about $20 per page and a 12 x 12 page will take an average of 3 photos of they are 4 x 6 inches and 5 or 6 if they are the older smaller ones. That's for Traditional Scapbooking. The Digital would be less expensive than that but again would depend on the time and amount of detail you wanted.

    You can scan the photos and send them digitally, that way you don't have to trust your photos to someone else. Use the contact Us link toward the bottom of the Nav bar if you are interested in us doing this for you.

    I've seen them - I've also seen them out of business a few months later - most people buy the materials from a craft store and make the scrapbooks them selves

    no one is going to pay you $10 an hour or more plus materials to make a scrapbook for them and even if you got that much per hour and were kept busy 40 hrs a week getting paid for every hour, after deducting rent, utilities, etc, you will probably make a lot less than minimum wage if you make anything at all
