Is it true that Ricardo Mayorga has signed to fight in MMA?
I'm not sure about the details, but I have read in some boxing forums that retired boxer slugger Ricardo Mayorga signed to fight in an MMA organization (most probably not UFC)- I just don't know what MMA org.
If this is true, how do you think he would do in MMA?

Mayorga is scheduled to make his debut in early 2010 on a Shine PPV card.
It's going to be quite a disappointing of Mayorga, he should have retired. He gave the boxing fans many entertaining memories. Even though he will not be in the pound for pound all-time list or even in the hall of famer, he should have been satisfied, because the way I read his career; it's a very entertaining career for the me and the rest of boxing fans.

If he takes it serious i think he would do rather well. His problem in boxing was a lack of technique, which killed him against high level competition, in mma he would be the most skilled guy with his hands(sadly) and since fights start off standing up he could really punish those guys. Imagine someone like Chuck Liddel trying to slug it out against Mayorga it would be easy pickings. All he has to do is prepare a defense for ground attacks and remember to throw uppercuts when guys try to bull rush him to the floor.
