My BMW 1987 325E is burning too much gas...had a gas leak fixed but still burns too much gas?
I have a 1987 BMW E30 2 DR coupe..basically I use it every day for work,when I first got it I was averaging about 200 miles per tank full of gas... recently I noticed that I was burning too much gas and apparently had a gas leak, had a rubber line replaced along with a new gasoline filter, however I'm still burning too much gas! I'm averaging about 100 miles per tank full.. and I don't see any other gas leaks! What do you think it may be? the fuel gauge? or the fuel sending unit inside the gas tank possibly? If you know of a good BMW mechanic that is reasonable please let me know, I'm in the 22046 area. Thanks!

Your cold start injector is stuck open and constantly supplying extra gas to the engine. Injector is bad or the sensor/control circuit needs attention.
