Oh God yes... I do remember those things... I had a couple of them. My last one bit the dust years ago... They always seemed to last thirteen months with me... But yeah, we thought they were so compact sitting there in or on our trousers... I was only thinking the other day when looking at an ipod at how small we thought those things were...

But then there was the ghetto blaster...

Edit: Yeah, I do remember the problems with tapes those things had. You'd try to fix the tapes only to find they had flipped and you were listening to your music in reverse...

Yes. I still have one. Kick back in my recliner and listen to it all the time. A Sony that works as good as the day I bought it.

Sadly, no. My last one ate my favorite tape, that was the last straw and I threw it. It broke into pieces. My iPod is much more reliable and does not eat my music. Remember winding up and trying to fix the tapes that got eaten?! Frustrating.
