Cannot load microsoft net framework 2.0?

I have an HP Pavilion a1600n AMD 64 ...yayayayaya I have had net framework on this computer but after a recent crash I cannot download it and I need it to run a program. Whats up?

    you may have the wrong operating system. for exampl XP pro, vista buisness and ultimate can run network framework. The "home" editions cannot. This network framework is used for domain server type networks. The "home' editions only do workgroup networks, and on domain server networks the "home" editions will keep disconnecting.

    try system restore, that should put it back where you had it b/4 the crash...
