Things to do within 50 miles of Navy Boot camp...?
My boyfriend is graduating from Navy boot camp on December 30th (my birthday). I wanted to know what there is to do during his liberty. Shopping? Eating? Movies? And just plain old entertainment? Since its going to be cold. Please help me :)

A location would be a good thing...............
I'm going to guess Great Lakes. You will want to stay away from anything directly outside the gate in the Waukegan/North Chicago area. That stated, you have the entire City of Chicago to explore. Great music, museums, sporting events ( Bulls, Blackhawks ) The sky is the limit!

Well it depends on what time of year you are talking about. Summertime theres six flags, the city (chicago) and the other city (Milwalkee) where there are a ton of sports and so on. Shopping theres gurnee mills. During the wintertime theres nothing to do. Gurnee mills mall, shed aquarium are about your only fun things to do.

He will be at Great LAkes Naval Base in IL. He got Six flags, Gurnee Mills mall, Movies, JUst go online and look up gurnee il. he will have lots to do near the base
