Ok the big debate (XBOX 360): Fallout 3, Oblivion, Fable 2?

Just got an xbox and getting xbox live. i have $50nz. should i

A. Wait and save for Fable

B. Wait and save for Fallout

C. Get Oblivion

Im not sure. I have played Elder Scrolls lll on pc and Fable 1 on Xbox plus the first few stages of Fallout 3 on 360. I want to know which is the most value for money which has longest game hours which has the most freedom to roam and which one is the over all better game?

ps i live in NZ so please try to keep it as nz orientated as possible

fable 2 - the story is fantastic, the opening scene is the best opening scene I've seen in twenty years of gaming, the quests are varied. Sadly, it's a little broken and bugged in places, the visuals aren't fantastic and you probably won't play through it twice. Plus it's not free roaming at alll, you just click on different areas to visit them

Oblivion - free roaming entirely, it's a living world, similar to Morrowind, but much much larger. Again, the quests are varied in nature, and there are tons of them (more if you buy the game of the year), the visuals are great and varied, it's a massive land with every one of it's hundreds of characters able to be talked to about something.

Fallout 3 - mostly free roaming - theres a bit of trickery in the inner parts of the city, but mostly it's free to roam. Sadly, I never could be bothered, it's all very brown and there's not a whole lot to look at so I didn't see the point. Most of the quests involved shooting at something large, there didn't seem much variety, nothing like ES4's guild quests, There's a lot of skimping with the characters too - you can only talk to key quest givers, the majority of individuals are generic "wastelanders", who you can't start conversations with. Sure, it's got the same amount of hours worth of play as Oblivion, but I just quickly grew a bit fed up at looking at the same brown dreary wilderness.

I've played all 3. I would say Fallout 3 is an awesome game. I didn't like Oblivion that much though, but to rank those 3 games you listed, I'd rank Fallout 3 as first, Fable 2 as second and Oblivion as third.

Fable 2 is terrible, Oblivion is good if you like playing an rpg by yourself, and Fallout 3 is a great game
