How do you like my music taste - and do you recommend any music?

(in no order)

Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Black Sabbath, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sublime, Metallica, Eric Clapton, Bob Marley, Eagles, Beatles, The Who, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, 2pac, Biggie, Nas, Big L, Wu Tang Clan, Dr. Dre. I can go on on but somehow I can't get into this new hip hop or rock that's in the radio these days with they're lady gagas and lil waynes. Idunno man i'm 22 and I like music from the 60s, 70s mainly. I feel like I should've been born back then and had a chance to be at woodstock or something. I think music had more feel back then and I just don't vibe with all this new music and this modern culture. I stopped listening to rap after like 99.

ya, I know what u mean by the sugar-coated, all sex and drugs lyriced mainsteam music now a days. But I do like Lady GaGa. She is so weird and I love that. I also love Oldies music. It's the bomb.

hmmmm, suggestions... I don't think the stuff that means a lot to me will mean the same for u being we have different backgrounds and ur age. You seem like u mostly like rock/chill guy. Plus there are quite a few artists that u listed that I already like. No likey Red Hot Chiley Peppers though, I don't know why. Do you mind if it's in another language?

    Bartender Song - Rehab

Your Guardian Angel - Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

    Everything - Lifehouse

    Skillet

    ill Nino

    I Don't Care - Apocalyptica

You Make Me Sick - Egypt Central

    Concrete Angel - Martina McBride

*Just A Dream - Carrie Underwood

*Mad World - Tears For Fears

*One - U2 (I like Adam Lamberts studio version more though)

*Spring Nicht/Don't Jump - Tokio Hotel

Goodbye My Lover, Carry You home - James Blunt

    Coleccionista de Canciones - Camilla

    Amor Quedate - Jencarlos

(my Spanish sucks but these songs and their translations are so pretty. But phrases are lost in translation unfortunately)

Sorry, this list is pathetic but it's past 3 in the morning and got to wake up really early for Christmas Shopping. I didn't bother writing some things down cuz it's probably obvious u already know them. Like I said, u probably won't like them. Majority of the songs mean a lot to me but won't for you, cuz of backgrounds and past experiences.

oh god, it's past 4 now. I'm hallucinating. I want to be an Avatar! gahh

Okay, that's awesome, but there's a big gap in between those bands. In the classic lineup you could introduce a little Jeff Beck. He can play the Fender Stratocaster like no one else. Listen to some jambands like Phish, Widespread Panic, and some Progressive Rock like Yes, Genesis, and more recently Saga (80s) and Porcupine Tree (90s and on) You should also dig up other bands and musicians from the 80's. There is stuff that wasn't popular, but was still pretty good. Toto got big top hits in the 80s, but some of their other stuff was good as well, if you're into listening to "good-yet-unpopular music".

PS. If you EVER get into instrumental music form the 70s like Jazz-Rock-Fusion and heavy stuff like that, check out Return To Forever, Al DiMeola, Chick Corea, and John MacLaughlin with the Mahavishnu Orchestra.

PPS. In the hip hop dept. I used to listen to Black Sheep (A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing), Dr. Dré (The Chronic) and Cypress Hill.
