How does it make Al Gore a hypocrite to 1) want the government to regulate CO2, and 2) fly jets?

He pays for emissions offsets to compensate for the CO2 produced by his travel and his house, which has solar panels.

Why do people make this about Al Gore. It doesn't matter what he does. We aren't going to have non-fossil fuel airplanes any time soon so what choice does he have? But even if he was the most wasteful person in the world it wouldn't change the meaning of what he is doing to better the planet.

Simple. He says we are producing too much co2, and his house produces as much as 6 normal homes. He pollutes with his jets and limousines and thinks you should ride a bike to help lower emissions. The man has heated sidewalks for Pete's sake. He is the epitome of hypocrisy.

So he pays for his emissions and what does that do to lower co2? Absolutely nothing. If he and his ilk had his way the majority of the population would live stacked and packed in sustainable development housing projects, and he would keep his mansion.

Al Gore is one of the biggest individual polluters in America, flying his big jets, have a house 10 times his need for his family and a large boat. He preaches to ever body else to downsize and conserve but he doesn't do it himself. He makes enough money off of it to pay for all his carbon credits and think he has done something! This certainly qualifies him for a hypocrite!

Does he fly a private jet or a regular airliner? If he flies a private jet he is a hypocrite. If he uses a regular airliner he isn't.

I never got why we waste taxpayers money on the Secret Service protecting ex-officials. Aren't they no longer in office?

Do you expect him to hike the Interstate or to cross the Atlantic swimming?

Al Gore is a proponent of government regulation of greenhouse gasses, carbon emissions from industrial waste which we all must curb to prevent changes in the earths atmosphere and climate.

How do you expect Gore to get around across the country and overseas? He has to have Secret Service protection as all ex-W.H. officials and it would be dangerous to take public transportation. Even the Congress people think they are big shots and have their own planes.

Everyone has to pitch in and save the planet.

You are forgetting the absurd statements that failure to lower the co2 will result in the flooding of all land mass's, we will have more hurricanes that kill people because of it, we will have droughts, floods, that kill. So if he actually believed the bile that spews forth from his face, he would be responsible for killing not only the planet but his cohabitants on earth.
