For 200 dollars you can get alot better brand. Sony subs will and it's a fact will blow on you in time and they are not worth 200 bills. Go with another brand and my thing is to match up your amps with your subs. And no you don't have to replace your inside speakers unless they sound blown but that's a new car so no your good

Sony subs are pretty weak, pretty much garbage from my experience. Buy some good speakers, Eclipse, JL Audio and Kicker make some proper subs. That 1300watt rating is not a RMS rating. You need to find speakers with a real RMS wattage rating, this is a much more accurate rating of the amount of watts in any given speaker or sub. If you are only looking for extra bass replacing the interiors is probably unnecessary, spend the extra money on a pair of better subs and a box that is built to specifications for those subs. If you get 2 subs with 150-250 watts RMS and a 400 watt RMS amp you will be more than pleased and it would sound way better than any Sony Xplode subs. Last thing, make sure you buy a quality wiring kit. People often go with some cheap wiring kit, dont make the same mistake, 4 Guage wire or better is ideal.

um look at the speakers u want to buy and look at the continuous rms...will b around 500-600 watts....so get about a 100 watt amp and don't bridge it.....

btw i swear wal-mart sells that same speaker for 50-60 bucks each......or did last time i checked...
