Do you think that there should be a R&S section?

I mean, thinking about it, theologians and experts on the subject debate these sorts of things every day, and we're still not coming any closer to people agreeing -because there is no way to agree - in the end it either comes down to logic or faith, as nothing can be decided either way without proof either way; something which scientists are working on, but have not yet found.

Is it not the case, that a section of this nature actually fuels anger and resentment between groups of believers and non believers, and therefore does a disservice, or do people think that it actually helps to continue the (seemingly) never ending argument between science and religion.

Your thoughts..... :)

Ideally, yes, there should be a section here for asking and answering questions that deal with the topic of religion and/or spirituality. This is supposed to be a place where people can ask things like "What is that long strap that Jews wear on their arm during some services?" or "Where does it talk about snails in the Bible?" or "What is the difference between Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism?"

Unfortunately, the reality is that people more often use this as a place to post their own loaded or insincere questions, for the sake of just finding somebody who will tell them what they want to hear. Very rarely is it used to gain knowledge.

It has a good side and a bad. I enjoy all the different questions here. There are no questions off limits as there might be if it were only religious participants. I have learned here.

I do dislike what I consider atheist arrogance and harassment at times. The poster below me is a perfect example.

I take a somewhat cynical view that Yahoo actually lumps all the creeds together in one section because it forces people with incompatible views into the same forum creating strife, which creates traffic, which ultimately creates ad impressions, which is ultimately what Yahoo does all this for (or at least is trying to...)

I think it can serve a positive benefit. In the short time I have been on here I have met many people. I have offered advice, positive reinforcement and condolences. Some I have been talking to ever since. Not everybody comes on here to debate. Some of us simply want to help others. God Bless! +?+

I actually have no idea what I could do.. I'm no longer going to lie and say I accept as true with homosexuality to win your fame, for the reason that I most likely do not, however as a mom I can say I actually do not consider I might disown my little one in the event that they grew to become out to be homosexual. I could be very conflicted. InshaAllah I not ever face this predicament. I could be afraid for my little one's destiny on this lifestyles and the hereafter. My love for my little one could drive me to constantly urge them clear of that sort of behaviour as I could any behaviour that places them at danger. As a mom, I desire to be capable to mention that I could be comfortable so long as they have been comfortable however realistically that are not able to regularly be the case. You would not permit your little one be an alcoholic in the event that they advised you it made them comfortable. When your little one does anything which places them at danger this is a mom's proper, no, accountability to check out to advisor them. Unfortunately, I do not know the way one could advisor anybody on this predicament, and I could on the whole turn out to be having my little one no longer desire something to do with me for the reason that of my pressuring... May Allah advisor us all.

Yes, because the philosophy section is dead. And the biology section is barely alive. Where else would I go?

Oh I love this section, it is the funniest part of Yahoo. The ignorance of Christians about their religion is one of the greatest jokes of this. or any, century,
