Question:

A block weighing 300.0 N is moved at a constant speed over a horizontal surface by a force of 50.0 N applied parallel to the surface.

a. calculate the coefficient of kinetic friction

b. calculate the acceleration of the block if kinetic friction is zero.

    You have simple equations to compute this in your book. Where are you stuck?

    CoF = force / weight

    F=MA

    In part b, note that you need *mass*, but you're given weight. I'm betting that you have to convert for Earth-normal gravity.
