What do you think about this name?
I am due in March with our first baby, a little girl. The name we have selected is Eliana Catherine. The last name is Darr (rhymes with car), and Eliana is pronounced "el-ee-AH-na". We like the nickname Ellie, if she wants to use one.
So, I'm looking for some honest opinions of Eliana Catherine Darr. Can you think of anything obvious that kids would make fun of with this name? Do you think it grows up well? What's your overall impression of the name? I don't mind if you don't like the name -- you don't have to agree with me. Please be honest, but polite. Thanks! :)

Eliana is pretty. It's modern, but not too trendy in my opinion. I dislike almost all trendy names, and even if this WERE trendy, I think I'd still like it. I really like how feminine and girly it is. It's an all-around very sweet name. The only potential "problem" I can imagine is people mistaking her name for "Elaina" at first glance; but I don't think it'd be a huge problem. I don't care for Ellie at all personally, but it's not horrible.
Catherine is gorgeous. Although I definitely prefer the spelling Katherine myself, Catherine is perfectly legitimate as well. Eliana Catherine makes for a very beautiful-sounding combination. Great job with that.
Elaina Catherine Darr flows wonderfully. Sometimes it can be hard making a name sound right when your surname is only one syllable, but you did pretty good! The flow, the sound, everything is great. It's not a name I would choose myself, but I can definitely see why you would like it and are choosing it.
Congratulations on little Eliana! :)

I like the name Eliana Catherine, it has an old beauty to it. I'm sure you already know that the only joke kids are gonna make is about her last name Darr. But that's how kids are and eventually when she gets older no one will bother making stupid jokes about her name. I hope you stick with the name though because it sounds beautiful. I hope that Ellie has a happy, long, and healthy life. Congratulations!

I knew a woman named Cambria in center college. She used to be superb candy however children might regularly tease her. I used to be continuously sticking up for her. She used to be in no way made a laugh of for her title from what I would bear in mind... Mainly teased for what she wore. I would consider of names a entire lot worse then Cambria, I consider it is first rate. Just not anything I'd significantly don't forget naming my kids.

Absolutley Lovely.
I see no reason to make fun of and I also see her growing up with it.
Most kids will use the nickname when younger and decide when they are older to use their real name.
It is rare and beautiful.
It reminds me of a flower,
good choice!
