You would probably be consitered a high risk pregnancy, but if that's whta you really want to do, then do it. In my opinion, as long as you can still get pregnant, you're never too "old" If that's what you truly want to do, do it..Like i mentioned earlier.
I wish you all the best no matter what.

Of course not, As long as you are in good health and still have the motivation and energy to take care of a new baby. Being 47 there is a higher risk that the baby can have health problems also, so also keep in mind if the baby does have health problems how much more you will have to care for them. Best of luck to you!!!

Yes, 47 is too old to be thinking about babies.
Hell, I'm 55 and yes, I could install a cars transmission.
Am I gonna do it?
Heck, no.
But, back to the serious nature of this question....
Why?
Why risk the birth defects?
Seems like a fairly selfish question, to me.

In my opinion: yea it is a little old to have a baby i mean... a women would be 65 by the time the child is 18.
But honestly it is their decision...

It's the old question of if you SHOULD. My wife's parents had her at 48 and both passed away before she was 20.

i was reading something that women over 35 who get pregnant need to be monitored more carefully because its more likely to cause problems or something.. so you might just read up on it...
