can a blown fuse cause only one headlight to go out?
I have a 99 Ford Escort, only the driver headlight is out, I tried replacing the bulb, but, it still wont light up. Could a blown fuse cause only ONE light to go out?

Your car has a seperate fuse for each side headlamp, the fuses should under the hood in the battery junction box near the battery (fuses and relays in it) 10 amp fuses

Yes. I have a 97 Honda Accord LX and experienced the same puzzling issue. Check for a fuse panel under the hood of your car. Mine contained a separate fuse for either headlight and I found the just the right side had blown.
If you can't find it located there, check the fuse box on the interior of the car. Good luck!

Not a fuse on that car. Did you touch the the glass part of the bulb during replacement? If so; the new bulb most likely is bad now. Check the wires.

Many cars do have individual fuses for each side/beam. I've seen it where when the filament breaks inside the bulb, it momentarily shorts out, or spikes, and pops a fuse ...
After you check all the fuses, you may be looking for broken or chewed wires.

A lot of the newer bulbs when touched by fingers will cause them to go out. Try replacing it again because the elements could have been burned in the new bulb. Also make sure you do not touch the lense with your fingers because the oil and grease from your fingers can cause the bulb to blow.
